Sometimes my favorite products are simple staples that help get the job done faster-better-easier. But as tools and materials change, those old stand-bys need to keep pace. The cheapskate in me also likes it when they’re inexpensive.
That’s the case with Skil’s 14-piece spade bit set.
I like this because it meets a simple need: drilling holes from 1/4 to 1-1/4 inch in 1/16 inch increments. I also like the set because the bits — unlike most of my old drill bits — have a 1/4 inch hex shank.
