I’ve been digging into the archives to share some inexpensive and fun ideas for summer door decorations.
We’re getting ready for our beach vacation, so I’m doubly in the mood to celebrate summer door decorations and make sure those ideas are easy to execute.
Here are some of my favorite summer door decorations that we’ve been pinning on Pinterest.
This watermelon door decor is super adorable and a fun project that I think even our 5-year-old would enjoy. The blog from Matt and Emily Eckley mentioned that it is made from burlap. They didn’t share a how-to, but I’m thinking we could replicate it with outdoor fabric, yarn, and ribbon.
I like this idea for a summer door decoration from Lindsey at Personal Pizazz, because who doesn’t love the footwear of summer: the flip flop? This is definitely a craft project that is family friendly. And I’d love to make a version of this idea that had a pair of flip flops for each member of our family.
While I mostly look for door decor inspiration for entry doors, I simply couldn’t resist this summer garden door from Beth at Kabam Family blog. Decorated with upcycled and found items, this barn garden door is the perfect setting for any summer garden lover.
Note: If you are making summer door decorations for an entry door, make sure you have a hanger or something else that doesn’t puncture the door. You could void the warranty. (Check out this interview with ideas on how to hang door decorations with a Therma-Tru Doors expert.)
