And while I can do it, it sometimes gets old — especially when someone wants me to build an entire structure for them like a garage or pool house. As you know, it takes some desk time to do a proper take-off and count up all the sticks — then there’s calculating the price estimate — a lot of work you probably only get paid for if you get the job.
