Mark & I had the pleasure to help with a recent Food Network ‘Restaurant: Impossible‘ episode. And while we worked hard for 25 of the 29 hours we were in town with many of those hours building inside a box truck, it was well-worth the effort.
Going outside of our day-to-day routine, and building on someone else’s project always feels like a mini-vacation to us. I always like to point to a line from Thomas the Tank Engine: ‘A change is as good as a rest.’
Plus the time crunch of the TV show means that we had to be finished in a hurry, so there’s the immediate satisfaction of a job-well-done on the horizon.
Not only did we have the opportunity to work with the talented general contractor Tom Bury, we also finally spent time working with designer Taniya Nayak.
Taniya is the host of HGTV’s ‘House Hunters on Vacation‘ and is part of ‘Designed to Sell,’ too. We’ve interviewed Taniya on MyFixitUpLife a few times over the past two years, and she is always a delight.
The episode of ‘Restaurant: Impossible’ will air in September 2011, and we’ll be bringing you the interviews from the project.
