You might think that I spend more time thinking about my clothes than my husband. But, it’s not always true.
The historical track-record is that the compliments for Mark’s work pants pretty much outweigh anything I could ever wear. Sometimes it seems that other guys actually ask him about his pants almost as much as they ask for home improvement advice. And Mark is proud of his pants, because he loves them.
But, now I’ve found my favorite work pants, too.
I’ve used old jeans and pants that were already ruined by the wear-and-tear of life as work pants over the years. And I’ve never been exactly comfortable or confident in them. With low-rise jeans and less-than-rugged fabrics, nothing seems to last very long and I always end up with the gap in the backside that my female modesty would appreciate to avoid.
But recently I started wearing the modern fit jean from Carhartt, and I love them. They look like the other jeans I have in my closet, but are so much better for jobsite work. The pants have a contoured waistband, which eliminates the gap that occurs when you kneel or bend over to pick something up, too.
The tag says its made of 12-ounce, 99% ring-spun cotton denim/ 1% spandex it features triple-stitched main seams for added durability and straight leg openings.
They have the ‘worn’ look and then the ‘indigo wash.’ I actually have two pairs in my closet now, so that I always have one ready for the next day. Thank you, Carhartt.
