Tool Review: Bosch TC10 Tile and Stone Saw

Bosch TC10 10-inch wet cutting tile and stone saw.

It’s a pretty terrific sign that when we showed the Bosch TC10 10-inch wet-cutting tile saw to a dedicated tile installer, he wanted to take the saw off our hands—and give us a discount on the project we were doing. We didn’t let him, of course, and tested the tool for on-site performance cutting ceramic, porcelain, and marble. We also looked at accuracy, portability and the little things that make a big tool worth owning.

Out of the box, the cut table was accurate and rolled easily. The switch was easy to reach and press—even with soaking wet hands—and, one of the best features, there was almost no overspray. A clean running tile saw is a thing of beauty.

As for power and performance, we whaled through 2-foot x 2-foot porcelain, marble threshold stock, and various ceramic tiles. The TC10 delivered clean, smooth cuts every time. All the removable parts have a place on the saw so it’s a contained package—great for small jobsites and shops where the tool is used and stored. The trade-off is that it makes the unit a little heavy to move, but it’s a fair trade. Neat is better. It even has a plunging head for electrical device cutouts and other notching activities. Sweet.

From power to design features, the Bosch TC10 earned a spot in the shop for sure. And, no, the tile guy still can’t have it.
