Tool review: SKILSAW table saw and full-depth cuts

Here’s the first part of our tool test of the SKILSAW table saw.

The first Skilsaw table saw torture test is full-depth cuts in cedar 2×4.

First, the blade extends high enough to get a full cut in 3 1/2-inch stock with a little room to spare. So while it is rare I need this feature—say for re-sizing a 4×4 for some reason or here for making sawn-texture 1×4–it’s nice to have it.

But it does no good if the saw bogs down, which this one most certainly did not.

More on other features and performance in other blogs, as work with it on different projects.

And, apologies on the primitive set-up for this Skilsaw table saw tool review. Working on the ground like this is no bueno for more than a few cuts.

Have you tried this tool? What do you think?
