Updating a bathroom for your Alzheimer’s family member?

The bathroom doens’t have to be a source of stress for a family living with Alzheimer’s at home.

With a few easy updates, you can make your bathroom less stressful for you and your Alzheimer’s loved one.

When your family member is diagnosed with Alzheimer’s, there’s a lot to feel and so much to think about. It can start to become overwhelming.

We want to help.

Every Tuesday at 1pmET we’ll be on Twitter sharing design tips and answering your questions about designing for Alzheimer’s. (Your questions can be on-topic or not. We’re here to help.)

On Tuesday, January 26th we will be sharing design solutions for updating a bathroom to better serve someone with Alzheimer’s or dementia.

Some of the questions we’ll be answering include how to make the toilet easier to find, how to make your loved one more comfortable, why mirrors might not be preferred anymore, and how to design a new room that can comfortably accommodate Alzheimer’s and everyone else in your family.

If you have questions about bathroom design for Alzheimer’s and dementia or suggestions for future topics, please share in the comments below or send us a note.

We hope you’ll join us every Tuesday at 1pmET to talk through the Design Prescription for Alzheimer’s on #DesignALLZ Twitter chat.

You aren’t alone. We’re all stronger when we help each other.
