Valentine’s card: The lollipop blooms and zooms

Valentine’s cards are an annual event for every family.

It can give you joy, if you love to make little crafts like I do.

‣ MyFixitUpLife Or it can make you want to skip over February 14th, like my carpenter husband who would probably rather re-roof a house.

Either way, for most kids, they look forward to giving and receiving little candies and cards, so it’s one of those things that becomes an opportunity to create with my kids.

While our 3-year-old’s artistic prowess really isn’t developed all of the way to create complicated crafts, but we can still be creative with his little notes for his friends.

‣ MyFixitUpLife These simple flowers take less than five minutes to create. And everything was available at the corner drugstore. We simple glued lollipops to the foam flowers. And wrote a little note on the back for each friend.

Now, I know you know that Jack didn’t make the superhero lollipop. But I couldn’t resist this creation. We used the same lollipop. Cut out a cape from foam, and cut out the mask with black foam. Then I glued the mask in the back of the lollipop, and tied a ribbon under the cape to keep it secure to the stick. The cape is a perfect spot to write a little note to a friend.
