I mixed pink and blue in a lace technique for this vintage side table makeover.
I like experimenting with paint and patterns, so when I heard that the Pantone colors of the year were a Tranquil and Serenity Rose, a soft blue and pink, I wanted to use them in a lace technique.
So I felt like a lucky duck when I spied this vintage side table at my local Habitat for Humanity ReStore.
The vintage side table has a charming shape, and I wanted to stay true to its delicate details when selecting the a main color for the sides, so I chose a soft grey called Piston.
For the top I used a lace technique with Ballet Slipper and Ocean Breeze.
But I think everything needs a bit of an unexpected edge, so I painted the inside a bold pink called Watermelon.
