What tool goes with that look? Grammys fashion review.

Grammys fashion inspires the toolhounds in us. True story.

I love fashion.

I mark my calendar to watch the red carpet show on E. I try to remember to watch Fashion Police on E after the red carpet events.

And my brain is always simultaneously thinking about home projects. So when I see a red carpet, like last night’s Grammys fashion, I’m reminded of tools and DIY tips.

So here’s my view on 2015 Grammys fashion.

Rhianna might be the perfect person to help with a little insulation project we’re planning….
Ciara. She’s glamorous, and probably rarely gets goo on her. That is why I immediately started to think about a super glue spill gone way wrong. Here’s a FixitUp tip: If your dress gets a bit of super glue on it, just use some acetone and a toothbrush to gently remove the glue before it starts to stick to everything along the way to the red carpet. Next time, next time.
Ariana Grande is adorable and charming. But, when she paints, she probably needs a ladder. So here’s a DIY tip: If you spill paint before a red carpet event like the Grammys, make sure it’s a metallic or other neutral. But next time, I recommend the Pour & Store from Shur-Line. We’ll send you one. You’ll love it.
Joy Villa made it too easy at the Grammys to see a construction connection. But maybe she’s telling the world she’s ‘under construction’ and about to break ground on something new? It’s the plastic orange construction fence dress. ‘Nuf said.
Katy Perry shimmers, shines and reminds us we need to pick up some Spax multi material screws. Maybe her favorite impact driver is a DeWalt DCF895? It’s our favorite, too.
Kelly Osbourne is divine and powerful with a look that reminds me of a fun afternoon shooting our trusty Hitachi nailer. (pft chh.. pft chh… pft chh…)
Nick Jonas looks like a chalk box kinda guy, yellow chalk of course.
Nicole Kidman can easily carry her grommet tool in a handbag. But maybe next time add a little sparkle with twine. Grommets love rope and twine.
Sia’s statement tresses reminds us of a tip: Expanding foam insulation is a b*tch to get off of clothes, nevermind hair. But a little bit of acetone, gently applied can help.
