When I want old work down and done — framing, plaster, drywall, outbuildings, whatever — I reach for my recip to take them apart, usually in the reverse order they went up.
I go for the same tool to finish shoulder cuts in 6-by-6 deck posts, cut out door plates at frame stage, or even zap in-the-#&$%-way tree branches.
And you can bet a project is recip-ready when it’s time to cut nail-embedded wood and shingles in a roof application, as I did for a tubular skylight and attic vent/fan. Indeed, ‘ve been using Worx’s Assualt reciprocating saw for all this, and I’m pleased with the results.
