What wood your dream woodworking workshop look like? From tools to tables, and clamps to countersinks, what is the ultimate set-up to get your dream projects into ‘Norm Abram’-like perfection?

Chip Wade comes from a long line of experienced carpenters and woodcraftsmen. He began working with his father at an early age, and developed an interest in carpentry, landscaping and renovation. After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology, Chip moved on to earn his certification in residential construction. Chip has been on HGTV’s Designed to Sell. Since then Chip has appeared on HGTV’s Curb Appeal: The Block, HGTV’s Showdown, HGTV’s Design Star, Oprah, and CNN.

Jimmy Diresta is a designer/builder host who has an innate ability to solve problems with found objects , a wide variety of tools, techniques, with sweat and bruit force. He has shared his skills on Discovery Channel, HGTV, DIY, and FX Networks. “I Make stuff. I use many different materials & processes.”

We’re joined by Woodworker’s Journal senior web producer Dan Cary, who is the former editor in chief of HANDY magazine. Dan has spent the past 20 years designing and building woodworking and home improvement projects. And he is sharing his love of woodworking and craftsmanship with his kids.

Pauline Henderson is a reclaimed woodworking artist. Her blog My Altered State began as an Etsy shop, and now it’s so much more than that. Her passion can be best explained in her own words: “I discovered that I like finding value in seemingly insignificant things. If I could impress upon anyone one thing, it would be that things can change to be something different. Something better. Nothing has to stay insignificant.”

TaraDara Made it! says her mom and dad recognized very early they were raising an artist. Maybe it was her superior finger paint art in Kindergarten or when Tara was the envy of her fashion conscience friends when she made my own clothes in the eighth grade. No matter how the DIY star was born, she’s a force to be reckoned with whether it’s art, sewing, carpentry, or sharing her mad skills with her family.

And since the MyFixitUpLife show is a spontaneous explosion of fun and inspiration, you never know who might be joining the blab.

Meet us over at blab every Tuesday @ 8pmET for our ‘DIY date night‘ with MyFixitUpLife’s Mark & Theresa.

Over time Pauline Henderson had built an image of this wall art in her mind and when the day came for her to put the idea into motion, she realized she should have had a better plan. The interesting part is, “I’m a “figure out a way” type of person.”

“Worried that I was going all girly girl on myself with all the heart shaped stuff I was building, I had to look into it.
Turns out, the heart shape is a geometrical one. I hadn’t realized that. (Whew. I’m safe.) That explained a lot. Geometric symmetry is pleasing to my brain.” -Pauline Henderson

It’s not just about the base when it comes to trim for Mark. He has an addiction to any kind of trim, but a special fondness for crown.
