Ceilings don’t have to be white.
Ok, so take a moment to digest that statement.
If you are a color geek like me or passionate about Pinterest and shelter magazines like Hoss magazine, this isn’t a surprise.
But have you taken the leap and put another color on a ceiling in your home?
We did.
We just renovated our 110+ year old basement and painted the ceiling ‘not-white.’ My thought pattern involved trying to make the room seem taller, more expansive, and calm. With short ceiling height, and small windows, I chose a muted hue of purple-grey called Starry Night (SW 6540) to pair with board-and-batten walls of creamy white called Alabaster (7008), both from Sherwin-Williams.
