While this isn’t a fully developed in-depth tool review, just wanted to share a few things I love about this Milwaukee M18 cordless router.
Everything
Everything. I’ve rounded over about a mile of deck boards and rails with it. Fabricated trim details for a bay window.
Depth adjustment
Depth adjustment is awesome. Clear, solid, sensible.
Power
Power is near limitless for the work I do.
Balance
Balance, even with a honkin’ 12-amp hour battery, is only bested by the wide, included base. That thing is a clear, plastic miracle.
Switch
I even like the switch, though I wish it was a little bigger.
Electric brake
Oh, and the electric brake that stops the bit instantly upon turning the unit off. Hell yeah! It’s so cool that the bearing keeps spinning. It’s a nice little reminder of how well the cordless router works.
