Expert handy women share coronavirus pandemic DIY ideas while sheltering at home.
On this episode of MyFixitUpLife talk, we’ll be talking with licensed contractor and TV host Kayleen McCabe and woodworker and blacksmith Carley Ferrara about the coronavirus pandemic. COVID-19 is keeping most everyone at home, whether ordered or self-directed.
We are trying to figure out a new normal. How do we keep our kids’ brain cells growing? Maintain a healthy lifestyle of fitness and nutrition? Stay connected to friends and family virtually? And find ways to keep our spirits up?
While we’re home, it’s a good time to do those home improvement projects that we’ve been putting off. Whether it’s changing your furnace filters, decluttering, or starting a vegetable garden, there’s a lot we can do to keep busy and make life a little better.
DIYers and building pros are innovative and used to dealing with surprises, so we’re talking about how we can help you get through this challenging time.

Her goal is to shed light on the rising demand for trade professionals that’s outpacing vocational training, and to help restore America’s respect for the trades.
She’s sharing what she’s doing at her home during the coronavirus pandemic on Facebook Live, from mega LEGO projects to cooking mini quiches to building her own Game of Thrones throne in her workshop.
