Not sure about this year’s Thanksgiving door decorations?
If you are door decor obsessed like me, you’ve probably spent time thinking about the possibilities. And they are endless.
It seems like everywhere I look I notice an inspiration to create another holiday-themed door decoration.
It’s fun to be inspired everyday, but it’s hard to keep up with my ideas.
Here’s an idea that I was able to bring to life in our little studio in just a few hours.
I saw a ceiling medallion that immediately made me think of Thanksgiving door decorations.
Like most medallions, it was white, elegant, and perfect as-is. But in the curves and details of the medallion I saw the colors of autumn and forms that reminded me of abstract Thanksgiving turkey feathers and warm autumn sunshine.
Perfect for our front door, the medallion is made from weather-resistant polyurethane and painted with exterior paint. So unlike some of my candy-creations of past holidays, this decoration will be able to stand-up to the elements and many more Thanksgiving holidays.
Note about materials: I used the Belmont medallion from Fypon, and Olympic paint in Fragrant Cloves, Gooseberry, Flax, and Brown Mustard.
