While Ed is an icon of living green, cheap and easy is how Ed started. In this interview, Ed breaks down a few inexpensive ways you can easily go green. He also shares the details on composting toilets that makes the waste inert and odorless so that you can actually put it out in the garden.
Ed talks about his passion for riding bikes and how he rides with his daughter the two miles to her school every morning.
And he drives his electric car whenever he can’t walk, bike, or take public transportation. He drove his Prius from LA to Vegas for the National Hardware Show and spent just $25 in fuel to drive 270 miles

Inspired by the works of his Academy Award-winning father, Ed Begley, Jr. portrayed Dr. Victor Ehrlich on the long-running hit television series, “St. Elsewhere,” for which he received six Emmy nominations. Since then Ed has moved easily between feature, television and theatre projects. You can find him in “Best In Show,” “Batman Forever”, “The Accidental Tourist” and “The In-Laws.” Ed has directed several episodes of the hit show “NYPD Blue” as well as a play that he wrote called “Cesar and Ruben” that won a Nos Otros Award and four Valley Theater League Awards.
