Diane Korman, producer from Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, talks with Mark & Theresa at the International Builders’ Show.
“I love design television,” says Diane.”As a producer [on HGTV] I would get bored waiting for paint to dry.”
And then she learned about the story behind Extreme Makeover and the proposed fast-paced schedule, so she called the executive producer every day until he made the mistake of answering. And now she’s been involved in almost 200 builds. And she was the producer who got Ty Pennington to cry for the first time on their first Emmy-award winning episode.
When it comes down to it, Diane says: “OK here’s a family. What can we do to make their lives better?”
So how dedicated is she? She even scheduled the birth of her baby Lincoln so she wouldn’t miss any of the projects on Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Theresa now believes that Diane must be the ‘mastermind’ behind the ABC hit.
