FixitUp Find: Gear for guys

Gear for guys: CLC briefcase

Gear for guys should look cool. That’s baseline. But it also needs to work. And when it comes to gear for DIYers and home improvement pros it’s practically a necessity. So when I load up my office tools and hit the road, I look for tough-stuff gear that’s good looking too.

CLC’s 16-inch ballistic nylon briefcase is great gear for guys. It helps keep me energized and organized.

Whether it’s a road trip build like the Krylon Colormaster Challenge, Save My Bakery, or a MyFixitUpLife road show, when I stow-and-go my office stuff I’ve been slotting it safely inside the compartments of the CLC 16-inch ballistic nylon briefcase they sent me. I love this thing.

Even though it sounds like it’s more tool belt that tablet tote, the leather details give it texture and refinement—like gear for guys should have, suitable for client meetings or an airline concourse. The compartments are padded, which my aluminum MacBook Pro loves as much as the CLC binder that came with the briefcase. And everything is easy access. The compartments open up nicely without falling apart. Good design. The compartment on the front of the briefcase has sensible slots for pens, cards, gum, whatever.

And the compartment on the back? I fill that with wires: chargers, cords, charging block, camera cords, etc.

Gear for guys has to be energized and organized.
