Luxe holiday decor for under $1? Say hello to Tracy Hutson.

Tracy Hutson is sharing her DIY genius, so we can get a little sparkle of luxe holiday decor without spending a lot.

The luxe look for under a dollar? It does exist, thanks to Tracy Hutson. I think I spy her in the glass. Do you?

Tracy Hutson is a favorite DIY girlfriend. She always is brewing creative and unique ideas and is super supportive of my rather unconventional twists on DIY.

I asked Tracy if she had a super-easy holiday DIY that she could share with me, and that we could do together, live online. She replied, of course. And asked if I had a mason jar, feathers, hot glue, fake snow, thin ribbon, and glass ornaments. I wasn’t sure what we were making, but I love that list.

Let’s make holiday decor.

We embarked on fun DIY adventure, making little ornaments, which I switched into a place card replacement, and snow globes. Below is the list of supplies, a few inspiration photos from Tracy, and the video of us working on this project together.

What you’ll need:

    • mason jars
    • feathers
    • hot glue,
    • Something to make fake snow with
    • thin ribbons
    • little figures
    • Christmas Ornaments
Why is Tracy Hutson laughing? I used a styrofoam ball to make a messy little pile of fake snow.
Inspired by Tracy, I made there little charmers. It’s ordinary drug store ornaments with feathers and names. They also charm up a tablescape as name cards for a fun party.
A snow globe genius, Tracy Hutson’s snow globes are smart and thoughtful little gifts.
So stinking charming this little winter scene is divine. Made by Tracy Hutson.
Tracy Hutson’s glamorous feather-in-a-glass ornament is divine, and only take a few minutes to make this holiday decor.
I tried to channel my inner 7-year-old boy when I made this little snow globe that celebrates Minecraft and Legos. I think it’s a blizzard in there.
