Countertops are a total focal point in a kitchen. They tell the designer’s story, and the story of the people who will live in and use the kitchen for years to come.
They don’t always, but they can, and that’s what I love about them.
J. Aaron Cast Stone looks like they make some of the best story tellers I’ve seen, focusing their craftsmanship in three areas they’re good at: concrete countertops, concrete sinks and wood countertops.
The concrete countertops can be laid out on your site, cast in their shop, and sent to you for installation. There are seven stock colors available, and J. Aaron touts their stain free concrete. Now, you don’t have to use stain-free. As J. Aaron says — and I tend to agree — acid-spills on concrete (like lemon juice) can etch the surface a little, giving concrete a patina and lived-in warmth that marble or granite can’t touch.
