Listen to the show!

MyFixitUpLife radio show August 7, 2010 Mark and Theresa are broadcasting from a Rebuilding Together Philadelphia project in the Wister section of Germantown in Philadelphia during a special Popular Mechanics volunteer day. They helped build a fence, raised garden beds, composting area, and more in a vacant lot on the street. Volunteers on hand during the Popular Mechanics volunteer day helped fix and update many of the houses on the block to be more energy efficient and comfortable for the residents. Popular Mechanics magazine funded energy-efficient modifications for 22 homes on the unit block of Garfield Street in Germantown. The energy-efficient upgrades delivered in the homes will impact the entire community and assist direction of the green revolution to low-income neighborhoods, where energy-efficient modifications and upgrades can have the most direct impact to the homeowners. Check out the September issue of Popular Mechanics for photos and more information.
