It’s easy to believe that we live in a haunted home, especially since it’s close to 120 years old and the previous owner died between offering and closing on the house. (Whenever we misplace something, we ask Mrs. Fabiani where it went.)

Oh, and her husband’s family were the original owners of the house, too. So we imagine she’s not the only one of her clan to pass within these walls.

Relax and enjoy Halloween! Those sounds you hear probably just means something needs to be fixed.

While I am open to experiences with spirits and believe that our energy exists beyond our physical bodies, there’s usually a very physical reason why a home is making those squeaks, bumps, squeals, and bangs. And those spooky sounds mean that something probably needs to be fixed, and soon.

So how do I know what needs to be fixed from the sound that I hear at my home?

From the washing machine to the refrigerator, and from squeaky floors to mysterious clicking sounds, there are many common signs that indicate a specific problem. I shared a few sound tips with BobVila.com. These signs can help you find out the source of an unsettling noise and confirm that a home isn’t haunted.

Well, your home could still be haunted. It’s just that not every noise is from the spirit world. ?

Another source of spooky sounds is our pets. Our cat Rowdee has always gotten into mischief and made tons of noise.

Do you hear an unusual noise at your house and you still don’t know why? Houses can make so many sounds, and many of them can seem like signs of a haunted house.
