MyFixItUpLife talk show: Mastering Plumbing with Richard Trethewey from This Old House

Richard Trethewey This Old House

June 10: Mastering Plumbing with Richard Trethewey. Mark & Theresa drop teasing little hints about a television show about their family, describe their wild rickshaw ride through New York City, and discuss their upcoming roofing project. In today’s Fixitup Finds, Mark & Theresa talk about the DaVinci extreme wind roof test video of their synthetic slate tiles vs. asphalt shingles and discuss the importance of replacing your old, unsafe roof with Tim Gentry, VP of Technology for DaVinci. Today’s guest, Richard Trethewey has been an integral part of the This Old House team since the home improvement show’s debut in 1979. Russell Morash, creator of This Old House, first called Richard’s father Ron, proprietor of Trethewey Bros. Inc., the family plumbing and heating business, with an idea for a home improvement show in 1978. Richard lives in an 1865 Victorian that he has extensively remodeled.
