There is painting and then there is proper painting technique. The gap between the two can be huge. Sure, both gets color on the wall, but the result can be strikingly different.

What is proper painting technique? Paint Brush on Wall by MyFixitUpLife

One of the most important pieces of a successful painting job is using the right brush. We always recommend getting a good one like a Purdy or Corona, or Wooster.

And by “good one” we mean a 3-1/2-inch angled brush. It’ll cover nearly any painting task, especially cutting in molding and inside corners. But a good paint brush won’t do anything unless you use it right, which means getting the right amount of paint on the brush from the can.

In other words, you don’t just dip it in the can and start painting. That will result in a lot of frustration.
