Dried Out Down Under
One of the keys to an outdoor space that’s usable is its ability to stay dry when it rains. Uh, duh, as my daughter might say.
When it comes to raised decks, however, unless you build a roof over it (pretty much making it a porch) it’s bath time when the rain comes — both above and below the decking surface. Unless, that is, you install a rain-water diversion system to evacuate the rain water before it gets under.
