Mark and I just finished our kitchen backsplash project, and like most projects, we had some leftover materials.
And, in my mind, the cut-offs and scraps aren’t for the trash. It’s a crafting opportunity!
Lexi and I dressed up a few simple picture frames with our tile leftovers.
Here’s what we did:
1. We cut the Bondera tile mat set to size.
2. We put peeled the backing and stuck the Bondera to the frames.
3. Lexi selected the perfect tile pattern for each frame by carefully laying out the tile. She tried several combinations of StrataStones and samples from Daltile before picking the perfect pattern.
4. We carefully took the tile off the frame, and placed the pieces next to the frame, so we could remember the pattern exactly.
5. We removed the film from the top of the Bondera to expose its sticky-ness.
6. We stuck the tiles into the Bondera.
7. I grouted the tile.
8. Placed the perfect photos in the picture frames.
And our projects are ready to ship to Lexi’s Grandmas. A perfect way to turn cut-0ffs into crafts.
