I hope this video about how to paint a room by ‘cutting in’ with a paint brush saves you time and makes your project easier and better.
As a carpenter, I learned how to paint a room by trial and error. I spilled, spattered, and lost control of a lot of paint in my day—and I worked way harder than I had to.
Among the many things I’ve learned about painting over the years is that there’s no such thing as painting quickly. Once the fluid is loaded in the brush or roller, it’s only going to flow as fast as it’s going to flow. Fluid dynamics. Good brushes and rollers help. But where you can really save time, i.e. ‘go faster’, is by not wasting motion.
So here’s one part of the process: How to paint a room cutting in by hand.
