FixitUp Find: Bertch Doors

I love the modern materials that go into doors theses days — everything from MDF to fiberglass — but there’s still nothing like the look, feel and texture of a primo hardwood. Nothing at all.

I recently scoped out a raised panel cherry door, part of the Timbergate collection by Bertch, at a local lumber yard. Between the perfectly joined material and the satiny finish, I was in carpenter heaven.

Doors define the spaces we create in our homes, and the vintage craftsmanship and construction of a Timbergate door just oozes that it’s built for the long haul. You won’t be upgrading these puppies after you hang them.
