I’m a girl. I love chocolate.
Now when I design I always spend some time ‘dreaming’ about the possibilities for a project, much to frustration of my practical carpenter husband. Now, he must be glad I didn’t know about Chef Alain Roby’s plans to build a chocolate replica of his kitchen when I was dreaming about our kitchen remodel.
You may have heard about Chef Roby from baking a 1,250-pound chocolate cake on “The Martha Stewart Show.” You may have heard about his building a 20-foot-tall chocolate skyscraper in New York. Or you may know him from appearances on Food Network.
While these creations are completely impractical for our MyFixitUpLife, there is a lesson inside this story. It’s his quote I read in the Chicago Tribune: “As you build something that has never been done, it pushes you to explore.” And that’s what we always try to do at MyFixitUpLife.
