Jigsaw101_Orbitalactionsetting

In this video for This Old House, Mark demonstrates how to use the orbital-action setting to control the blade’s movement. This feature usually has settings ranging from 0 to 3. At the 0 setting, the blade moves up and down in a straight line, like a sewing machine needle. Set at 3, the blade moves in an elliptical stroke, creating a more aggressive cutting action.

Learn how to:
• Control the action of the cut
• Choose the correct orbital action setting
• Properly cut through plastic, wood, and metal
• Utilize more aggressive cutting
